Abstract
The study assessed factors affecting employees’ adaptation to digital change at TANESCO. The study was guided by three specific objectives, namely, to evaluate the extent to which employees' adaptation to digital changes influences the successful implementation of digital change at TANESCO; to evaluate the employees’ readiness on adapting digital change at TANESCO; and to ascertain the effectiveness of communication strategies in promoting digital change within TANESCO. The study employed causal relationship testing in knowledge generation process since each and every specific objective consisted of the predictors tested towards digital change as the dependent variable. Primary data were used in facilitating knowledge generation process by means of a structured questionnaire from the sample of 203 respondents. The collected results were filled in SPSS software version 23.0 to generate relevant statistical tests to present the results. Correlation and multiple regression analysis were used in facilitating knowledge generation process. Findings revealed that digital change at TANESCO is influenced positively by adaptation to digital changes by employees, employee readiness and the effective communication strategies since predictors tested in all objectives have generated positive, significant results on the dependent variable with p<0.05. This implies that digital change in TANESCO among employees is affected with the extent of the adaptation, employee readiness, and effective communication strategies in place.
