Factors Affecting the Performance of Procurement Process in Cooperative Unions in Tabora: Case of Selected Cooperative Unions in Tabora

Abstract

The study examined the factors affecting the performance of procurement process in the cooperative unions in Tabora Region, Tanzania. The study was guide to the generals objectives focused , to investigate factors affecting performance of procurement process in cooperative unions in Tabora region, to assess the influence of contract management practice on performance of procurement process in the selected cooperative unions, to examine the influence of records keeping management on performance of procurement process in the selected cooperative unions in ; and to determine effect of Information technology application on performance of procurement process in the selected cooperative unions in Tabora. The study has covered population sample of one hundreds sample size, among them it is about eighty respondents who enhanced the study to come up with the results. Also study focused on the methodology. These methodologies included the study's area, design, population, and sample techniques, as well as the instrument and method used for data collecting. The findings are presented, interpreted, and discussed in light of the study's goals. The goals of this study were to evaluate the impact of contract management practices on cooperative union procurement process performance, to examine the impact of records keeping management on cooperative union procurement process performance, and to ascertain the impact of information technology application on union procurement process performance in Tanzania's Tabora Region. In determining the facts influencing the effectiveness of the procurement process in the chosen cooperative unions in the Tabora Region of Tanzania, the study was extensive. Achieved the specific objective by assessing the influence of contract management practice on performance of procurement process; records keeping management and by determining effect of Information technology application on performance of procurement process in the selected cooperative unions. . Based on this study, it is recommended that, Tanzanian cooperative union, managers, suppliers and board members and assistants to think about getting more training on the country's legal and regulatory framework governing procurement practices.
