The research purpose was to ascertain the influence of practitioners’ behavioural intention towards effective application of TANePS in underperforming public organizations in Tanzania. The motivation for the study was because there was circumstantial evidence shown in Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Annual Performance Evaluation Report for financial year 2020/2021, that many Public Entities (PEs) despite of being connected to the TANePS, they are not effectively applying it in their day to day procurement activities. The study used sample size of 105 respondents, a cross-sectional survey and primary data only. The study used the mixed methods research design. Multiple linear regression model with the aid of SPSS version 26 was employed in quantitative data analysis while content analysis method was employed for the qualitative data and information obtained was used to support the quantitative data. Findings for the study revealed that social influence has a significant negative relationship but effort expectancy and facilitating conditions have significant positive relationship with effective application of TANePS. The findings imply that practitioners’ behavioural intention to use TANePS has the influence towards effective application of TANePS. In order to attain effective application of TANePS in Tanzania, the study recommends that emphasis and priority should be given in improving facilitating conditions as it revealed to have the strongest unique contribution compared to other independent variables.
