Abstract

As governments look for ways to raise money to address social demands, tax compliance is a crucial issue for countries all over the world. This study's main goal was to determine how economic and non-economic factors affected wholesale traders' tax compliance. A cross- sectional research design was used in the study to gather data from 95 wholesale traders in the city of Dodoma. A questionnaire was utilized to gather quantitative data. The results showed that tax rates and the amount of actual income have a positive substantial influence on the statistical significance of tax compliance. According to the study's findings, the government ought to help wholesalers by promoting awareness of the significance of economic issues for obtaining tax compliance. To ensure tax compliance, the policy should also be put into effect and made more conducive to economic conditions. The wholesalers should then express their opinion in order to find other causes for noncompliance.
