dc.description.abstractThis paper introduces the study about assessment return of development project under Dar es Salaam Maritime Gateway Project. Specifically, the study intended to determine Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) and to determine the return on investment (ROI) invested in Dar es Salaam Maritime Gateway Project. The study employed an explanatory sequential mixed method whereby a judgmental sampling technique was used to collect secondary information to the key informants. The Microsoft excel 2007 was a tool used to analyze data gathered in this study. The study revealed that the highest ROI was 22.6% in the year 2019 and 74.4% of ROCE in the year 2019. It’s then recommended that the Dar es Salaam Maritime Gateway project should allow the opinion of professional personnel on the issue of return estimation.
