dc.description.abstractTeachers and students in higher education institutions use mobile technologies in teaching and learning. However, in Tanzanian higher education institutions (HEIs), there is little known regarding to perspectives of teachers and students on the usefulness of mobile technologies on teaching and learning. A modified Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was applied to obtain teachers and students’ views on how mobile technologies enhance teaching and learning. A sample of 80 teachers and 100 students from the College of Business Education (CBE) was used. A survey questionnaire seeking views of teachers and students was used. Qualitative data were analyzed through the thematic content analysis while quantitative data was analyzed by IBM SPSS (Version 23) descriptive statistics. The results indicates that both teachers and students view mobile technologies as an important program in enhancing teaching and learning. Furthermore, awareness, training, and involvement in the mobile technology requirements’ design are crucial for technology intake.
