Effects of Procurement Procedure on Procurement Efficiency: A Case of the Selected Local Government Authorities in Dodoma Region.

Abstract

The existing literature and theories such as system theory, institution theory and resource-based view demonstrates possibilities of organization resources, ICT application and procurement procedures to affect procurement efficiency in public sector. This work explored the effect of procurement procedures on purchasing efficiency in selected local government authorities in Dodoma Region. This study used a cross-sectional design where data was collected from Dodoma City Council, Kondoa and Chamwino district Councils The study confirmed the hypothetically presented case.
