| dc.description.abstract | The paper aims to determine the influence of firm age on the performance based on the annual reports of five (5) years. Insurance firms which are registered Tanzania insurance regulation authority during the period (2017-2021). The study used Secondary data of insurance firms that have been published on their website. DEA model was used for the test of efficiency and Skewness/Kurtosis tests for Normality of data. The study shows that there is a significant influence of firm age on the performance of insurance firms in Tanzania. The results show that firm age significantly influence performance. The finding shows there is positive significant relationship between firms’ age and insurance firm performance suggests that older insurance companies tend to perform better over time Analysis of the results. | |
